How to Grout Tile

Their transformation is almost complete! The tile is installed on the shower walls and floor. Now is the time to do the tile grout.
Grout helps to hold the tiles in place and seals the gap between the tiles on a flat surface to create. Grout is not waterproof, contrary to popular perception. I recommend applying a sealant for the joints. Discussed later in this article.
When choosing grout, you should considerFollowing:

• Mix the grout: Mix the mortar in smallLots, as they dry quickly. Add 1 to 2 inches of water for a 5-gallon bucket. Add the powdered cement, water, stirring as you add powder. The mortar must be free of lumps, and the thickness of peanut butter.
• Apply the tile grout: Scoop the mortar from the bucket with the float. Use a float to press the mortar joints. Maintain grout float flat on casting service, run over the surface of the tile in different directions, slidingMalta in the joints.
• Excess grout: After grout is placed between tiles to keep floating in a 45 degree angle and move the float diagonally on the tile to remove most of the grout from the surface. Not dig bathers on the tiles diagonally so that it flows into the joints and remove all the joints.
• Wipe the excess grout, grout haze when you start, clean the excess grout with a damp sponge. Use aClean 5-gallon bucket half full of water. Take a sponge and dip into the bucket. Repeat this step often. Sponge dry in one direction on both sides, rinsed again.

• Allow the mortarTreatment in 3 weeks. When the mortar has hardened, apply grout sealer.
